When someone we care for is navigating end-of-life with their pet, their need for support and respite might appear to be less obvious, or they may feel less comfortable asking for help. I have often witnessed how pet illness and loss is still mostly unrecognized as “real” in our world today.
How these perceptions impact the care and compassion afforded those in the midst of tending to and preparing for the death of a beloved pet can result in immense and isolating grief.
Providing support in the form of a pet death doula is a gift that may provide the space and support needed to make difficult decisions and plan well for their beloved pet’s end-of-life.
Let’s connect and determine together if my support would be a welcome respite for your person.
